After Hours Help

Call Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222 if your child:

  • ate or drank something they shouldn't
  • ate or drank a known poison

Call 911 Emergency Medical Service if your child is:

  • not breathing (blue or gray)
  • choking
  • unconscious
  • having a seizure
  • bleeding profusely
  • having a severe allergic reaction

Please have the following information available when you call after hours:

  • Which Northpoint physician is your child's primary care doctor
  • The names and dosages of any medications your child is taking
  • Your 24-hour pharmacy number
  • If you suspect your child has a fever, take his temperature before you call.
  • Use paper and pen to write down any instructions you may receive.
  • Please have your child nearby if you need to visualize something about their condition.

We do not routinely call in prescription medications without an office visit. We have Saturday and Sunday hours for your convenience to serve your needs seven days a week. We would gladly evaluate your child and determine the need for prescription medication.
